Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
2012 saw the release of PROMETHEUS which became a huge hit at the box office and of course it makes perfect sense to have a sequel. Director Ridley Scott previously made it known that PROMETHEUS was not an ALIEN franchise film, but this left many fans still wondering if there was an even bigger connection out there to be had.
Well it's widely known now that the connection is very real and Scott gears up for his PROMETHEUS follow-up previously titled ALIEN: PARADISE LOST, which is now known as ALIEN: COVENANT.
We have learned the big news that actress Katherine Waterston, from INHERENT VICE and STEVE JOBS has just been cast in the lead role of Daniels in the upcoming film. There are no further details on her character as of now but expect to see some bad ass Ripley type action.
In case you missed it here are the first story details for the upcoming ALIEN: COVENANT:
"Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS -- and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
ALIEN: COVENANT currently has a release date of October 6, 2017.
We will continue to bring you more on this story as it unfolds.
