Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
It was made known quite some time ago that Universal had decided to take it's Classic monsters and give them reboots. The studio is still in the process of bringing them back to life on screen, with the idea of creating it's own universe to where characters can cross over from different films. The plan is for the new films to have a contemporary feel to them, while still adding elements from the originals.
THE MUMMY reboot is set to be happening first, and there are plans for THE WOLF MAN to be released in early 2018.
We also know that BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN is on the agenda and according to Variety, Universal "wants to offer Angelina Jolie Pitt directing and starring gigs" in the reboot.
Jolie is waiting before giving an answer on any of it as she must first approve of the script which is going to be written by newly hired David Koepp, who is known for his work on SECRET WINDOW, JURASSIC PARK, and STIR OF ECHOES.
This would not be Jolie's first crack at directing if she chooses to take on the responsibility as she has previously helmed the three narrative features IN THE LAND OF BLOOD AND HONEY, UNBROKEN and BY THE SEA.
We will continue to bring you more on THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN reboot as it unfolds.
