Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
It was around one year ago that we learned the news that a remake of Eli Roth’s Horror thriller CABIN FEVER would be made under Travis Zariwny's direction. The idea was for the film is to be shot from the exact same script that Roth previously directed back in 2002, as opposed to going through a long, delayed studio development process.
That same plan is still intact with one of the main differences between the two films, besides the new actors, are the death scenes. Roth says it was like "re-staging a play."
We learned back in September that IFC had acquired the North American rights to the CABIN FEVER remake. IMDb now says that the film will receive a limited theatrical/VOD release in February.
Today we bring you the first imagery for the CABIN FEVER remake which you will find below.
CABIN FEVER stars Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Samuel Davis, Nadine Crocker, Dustin Ingram, and Louise Linton who portrays Deputy Winston.
The story follows a group of five college graduates who rent a cabin in the woods. Soon, all hell breaks loose, as the group falls victim to a flesh-eating virus that attracts the unwanted attention of the homicidal locals.
The film was produced by Evan Astrowsky, Christopher Lemole, and Tim Zajaros, and was executive produced by Roth, Cassian Elwes, Jerry Fruchtman, Peter Fruchtman and Ike and Jaclyn Suri.
Look for IFC Midnight to release CABIN FEVER on February 12, 2016.
