Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Ever since the HALLOWEEN franchise parted ways with Dimension, things have been uncertain as to what the future will hold for Michael Myers.
Fangoria is now reporting that an anonymous source at the European Film Market claims that the reason the series missed out on the EFM was because they may be looking to take the property over to television.
According to their source, it is being discussed by network representatives for a possible "limited series event, with the option being restricted to a 3-to-5 season commitment."
Fango goes on to say that “these developments are fairly new in nature, and Trancas International Pictures is still fielding offers from production entities regarding bringing Halloween to the big screen.”
Of course none of this is official by any means as anything could happen. The idea of bringing HALLOWEEN to television could work as shows like MTV's SCREAM series and Fox's SCREAM QUEENS have found their audiences.
Regardless of what may come, we will continue to bring you more on this story as it unfolds.
***Update*** HALLOWEEN executive producer Malek Akkad has denied these claims by saying in response:
“No, utter rumors and falsehoods.”
