Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
This summer the world will receive director David F. Sandberg's upcoming Horror film titled LIGHTS OUT, a feature that expands his vision from his Horror short of the same title that went viral. This effort appears to be an attempt by New Line Cinema to replicate the success that they had with James Wan's THE CONJURING, who also produced LIGHTS OUT.
With Wan and the executives from New Line now having seen what Sandberg can do in action, it seems that they are very impressed. According to B-D, New Line is so impressed by Sandberg's work that they are in talks to have him direct ANNABELLE 2.
If Sandberg should end up with the gig, he will be taking the place of John Leonetti, who directed the first ANNABELLE film. He would also be working from a screenplay that was written by Gary Dauberman.
The original ANNABELLE film told the story of:
"John Form thinks he’s found the perfect gift for his expectant wife, Mia — a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure white wedding dress. But Mia’s delight with Annabelle doesn’t last long.
On one horrific night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. Spilled blood and terror are not all they leave behind. The cultists have conjured an entity so malevolent that nothing they did will compare to the sinister conduit to the damned that is now... Annabelle."
We will continue to keep you updated on ANNABELLE 2 as we hear it.
