Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
MTV's first season of SCREAM: THE TV SERIES managed to take a major Horror franchise and really shake things up, in the process creating new and different storylines based off of the events from the films. Fans seem to be split on this new television series but one thing is for sure, Season 2 is coming.
In fact MTV has now changed the debut of the second season from Tuesday May 31st to Monday May 30th. They have also released a new teaser video which you will find down below.
Some new faces will be joining the fold this season.
The second season will be adding some new characters.
Kiana Lede will play a driven overachiever named Zoe.
Santiago Segura will play dark and brooding outsider/artist named Gustavo, who is deeply into Horror, serial killers, and comic books.
Anthony Ruivivar will play Gustavo's father Sheriff Michael Acosta.
Austin Highsmith will portray high school psychology teacher Karen Lang.
Sean Grandillo takes on the role of Eli, whose squaky clean image may be hiding ulterior motives.
Karina Logue will be the proper, polite, self-reliant Tina Hudson.
These new additions join returning actors Willa Fitzgerald, John Karna, Tom Maden, Tracy Middendorf, Amadeus Serafini, Bex Taylor-Klaus and Carlson Young.
SCREAM Season 2:
"picks up with Emma’s return to Lakewood after several months at a retreat, where she tried to recover from the horrors of last season. Everyone is walking on eggshells around her, questioning whether she has truly gotten over the Killer’s crimes. Meanwhile, Audrey is hiding her connection to the Killer, but is getting harassed by someone who knows the truth. Brooke and Jake are also keeping secrets—they are hiding a budding romance from Mayor Maddox. And, Noah is getting closer and closer to the truth about the season one murders. Lakewood’s murderous past, both recent and distant, are once again brought to focus – with this Killer’s psychotic mind-game intent on bringing Lakewood’s heroes down in a storm of betrayal and bloodshed."
Executive producers are Michael Gans and Richard Register (who are also the showrunners), Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena, and Cathy Konrad. Matthew Signer and Keith Levine are producing. The late Wes Craven will still be credited as an executive producer on the series.
Remember, SCREAM THE TV SERIES Season 2 will debut on the new date of Monday May 30th.
