Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
NOSFERATU is a 1922 silent Horror film that was directed by F. W. Murnau, and stars Max Schreck as the vampire Count Orlok. Then back in 1979 Werner Herzog remade the classic.
We learned last summer that the director of THE WITCH, Robert Eggers was slated to write and direct another remake for NOSFERATU. At this time the project is still set to take place but will not be Eggers' next film. There is however yet another NOSFERATU on the way.
Being referred to as a remix by director David Lee Fisher, this particular NOSFERATU film will follow the same recipe as his 2005 remake of 1920's THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI. This technique will have the actors performing their lines in front of a green screen and then inserting the digital recreations from the original sets.
Set to play the role of the iconic vampire is veteran actor Doug Jones.
Joining Jones in the cast are Emrhys Cooper, Joely Fisher, Sarah Carter, and Jake Turner.
"a young woman’s supernatural quest to not only save her true love’s soul, but in fact the entire world from the shadow of infernal darkness."
Producing the NOSFERATU remix are Paula Elins, Derek Zemrak, and Leonard Pirkle.
We will continue to bring you more on this story as it unfolds.
