Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
This season of BATES MOTEL took viewers on quite a ride. We saw Norman's mental state break down even further as his relationship with his mother Norma certainly had it's struggles to say the least. The Season 4 finale brought us into some familiar territory in a new way.
With the 5th and final season now in the works, we have learned that the A&E series will be bringing in a beloved character from Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 original classic.
In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Carlton Cuse stated:
“We do hope to see Marion Crane next season. That will be a big moment.”
When asked if the character would appear in more than one episode he replied,"Yes."
Cuse went on to add:
"We wanted the final season to allow us to do our version of the Psycho lore. We will be colliding with certain events in the narrative of the film, but it would be boring to just recreate Psycho.”
The Marion Crane character was originally portrayed by Janet Leigh, and was arguably the most recognizable Horror movie victim of all time as she was killed in the shower at the Bates Motel.
It will be really interesting to see how all of this will play out. At least we know that they have a story arc planned for Marion Crane versus a cameo appearance.
We will bring you more on the final season of BATES MOTEL as we hear it.
