We are still a while away from getting a sequel to the 2014 American blockbuster GODZILLA, but that doesn't mean that the King of the Monsters will be waiting until then to reappear on the big screen. Toho Studios, along with directors Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchigear are gearing up to bring their Japanese version to life this summer with GODZILLA RESURGENCE. This will mark the 29th Toho GODZILLA film.
The Godzilla fansite Skreeonk has offered a first look a the concept art from the upcoming film.
The concept art is done by Mahiro Maeda, who is an acclaimed artist that is best known for his animation work. The art was submitted to the website by a fan who has gained early access to the August book The Art of Shin Godzilla Resurgence.
This is not the first time that a glimpse at the new Godzilla has leaked, as back in January images showed the beast up close and personal.
There has even been a U.S. release teased for GODZILLA RESURGENCE but there are no official details as of yet.
Legendary's version of Godzilla will soon be meeting up with King Kong as the franchise will see the two iconic monsters battle against each another.
Look for GODZILLA RESURGENCE to be released in Japan on July 29, 2016.
