A CONJURING 2 Spin-Off THE NUN Is Coming!

With THE CONJURING 2 arriving into theaters to mostly positive reviews, fans are glad to see Ed and Lorraine Warren once again back in action. The James Wan directed film has been bringing the fright as new entities including a ghostly nun have people talking. So much so that a spin-off movie is coming.

We have learned that New Line Cinema is now developing a film titled THE NUN, which will focus on the horrifying antagonist from THE CONJURING 2.

Co-writer of THE CONJURING 2 David Leslie Johnson has the task of writing the script for the spin-off. James Wan and Peter Safran will serve as producers. It is said that Wan inserted the nun into the film near the end of the shooting on THE CONJURING 2. The character is played by Bonnie Aarons. It is not certain at this time if she will return to portray the role for the new film.

As you know this is not the first CONJURING character to receive a spin-off film as back in 2014 we saw the release of ANNABELLE, a movie about the origin of the evil doll that crossed paths with the Warrens. ANNABELLE 2 is directed by David F. Sandberg and is set to be released on May 18, 2017.
