Not long ago it was made known to the world that the director of the upcoming James Wan produced LIGHTS OUT David F. Sandberg was brought in to also direct the ANNABELLE sequel. He will be working from a screenplay written by Gary Dauberman, with Wan and Peter Safran producing.
With filming for ANNABELLE 2 set to begin in Los Angeles next month, we bring you the first story details:
"ANNABELLE 2 tells of a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Soon, however, the nun and the girls become the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle."
We have learned that actress Miranda Otto will portray a deformed and solitary spouse of the dollmaker who built the Annabelle doll.
We have also learned that Stephanie Sigman will be taking on the role of the nun, Sister Charlotte.
A New Line Cinema film, ANNABELLE 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters from Warner Bros. on May 19th, 2017.
