It is no surprise that another ANNABELLE film is now in the works. A while back we learned that the director of the upcoming James Wan produced LIGHTS OUT David F. Sandberg was brought in to also direct the ANNABELLE sequel. He will be working from a screenplay written by Gary Dauberman, with Wan and Peter Safran producing.
We just recently learned that Miranda Otto will be playing the dollmaker's disfigured wife, and Stephanie Sigman will be portraying a nun named Sister Charlotte.
A fresh addition has just joined the cast in Talitha Bateman who will play one of the orphans.
Bateman is the sister of LIGHTS OUT star Gabriel Bateman.
Here are the story details:
"ANNABELLE 2 tells of a dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the tragic death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home. Soon, however, the nun and the girls become the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle."
A New Line Cinema film, ANNABELLE 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters from Warner Bros. on May 19th, 2017.
