If you are a fan of ANNABELLE then today's news will be of interest to you. As you may know the director of the upcoming James Wan produced LIGHTS OUT David F. Sandberg was brought in to also direct the ANNABELLE sequel. He will be working from a screenplay written by Gary Dauberman, with Wan and Peter Safran producing.
The progress on ANNABELLE 2 is moving along nicely as filming has now officially begun.
"A dollmaker and his wife who, 20 years after the death of their little girl, welcome a nun and several orphan girls into their home. Unfortunately, the new guests soon become the targets of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle."
We know that Miranda Otto will be playing the role of the dollmaker's reclusive, disfigured wife and Stephanie Sigman will portray the nun Sister Charlotte, with Talitha Bateman as one of the orphans.
Today we have learned that veteran actor Anthony LaPaglia has joined the cast.
In addition, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, and Tayler Buck have all been announced as cast members. All of which are younger females and will presumably be playing orphans or their peers.
A New Line Cinema film, ANNABELLE 2 is scheduled to arrive in theaters from Warner Bros. on May 19th, 2017.
