Season 6 of AMERICAN HORROR STORY has certainly been a tight lipped secret by the show's cast, producers and FX itself. With less than two months to go until the season premiere, fans are eager to find out what will be awaiting them this time around.
Just recently six very strange teaser videos were recently released for what is being referred to as AMERICAN HORROR STORY: ?6 and today the theme for the show has apparently been revealed.
Thanks to TMZ, some images from the set in Santa Clarita, CA of AMERICAN HORROR STORY ?6 have arrived and they indicate that the show could be going back in time to the Roanoke colony which experienced a mass disappearance situation.
The 1590 North Carolina colony where 117 people vanished. The only clue was the word "CROATOAN, nearby Native tribe carved into bark. There have been many Eerie legends about the colony.
The first image reveals a carving on a tree that reads "CROATOAN." The rest of the images show a colonial era farm. It is also being reported that some of the cast have been spotted wearing Pilgrim era clothing.
Romika Annabell Osorio made an Instagram post which confirms her involvement in the show along with Cuba Gooding Jr., and previously confirmed Lady Gaga and Kathy Bates.
Also confirmed to return for Season 6 are Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Finn Wittrock, Wes Bentley, Leslie Jordan, and Matt Bomer.
Shrouded in dark mystery, FX's CEO John Landgraf says that the show will be "set in two time periods... but principally in the present."
