Not too long ago it was announced that the release of GODZILLA 2 had been pushed back nine months. As things begin to piece together, Variety now reports that Mike Dougherty and Zach Shields have been chosen to write the script for GODZILLA 2. The duo previously teamed together for KRAMPUS, and Dougherty also wrote and directed TRICK 'R TREAT. At this time a director has not been named, but Dougherty has been confirmed to be in talks for that position.
In addition to this announcement, there is word that Legendary is looking to create a talent pool of writers to help shape and mold the future of the franchise.
