The summer of 2015 saw Director Colin Trevorrow's long awaited JURASSIC WORLD hit theaters to an amazing response. It quickly become the third highest grossing film in history. The fact that the resurrected franchise performed so well meant only one thing, that we will once again be seeing the Dinosaurs return to the big screen.
Earlier on this year it was made known to the world that Juan Antonio Bayona would be the director of JURASSIC WORLD 2.
The script was penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly.
Bayona spoke with Comingsoon.net saying:
“Every story is different and you need to find the depth of every story and try to express it on the screen. The ‘Jurassic World’ sequel is a more collaborative filmmaker experience, not only with Colin Trevorrow, but also with Steven [Spielberg] and with Frank Marshall. It’s their baby as much as it is mine. It’s about sharing views and working together to bring the story to life. But, at the same time, the way I face telling a story is to find something very personal. I think there will be plenty of myself also in the film.”
The director added in regards to when we can expect this film:
"We’re working it already. Shooting starts in March.”
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to return for JURASSIC WORLD 2 which is scheduled to hit theaters on June 22, 2018.
