Will BEHIND THE MASK'S Leslie Vernon Be Returning This Year?

In a Horror film, what is truth and what is fiction? What is the fictional conventions of the slasher genre were in fact "tools" of the trade. What if Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger, were actual living men bent on the murder of innocent people? This is the premise of Scott Glosserman's BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON.

The 2007 mockumentary follows Vernon, showing off his slasher secrets to a film crew before things get a little crazy. The film has most certainly achieved cult status within the Horror community to say the least.

The planned prequel titled project BEFORE THE MASK was on the agenda for a short time but quickly disappeared off of the radar. It looks as though the idea is still brewing as some teases have emerged.



Shown above we see a post from the film's official Facebook page, followed by the below post made by star Nathan Baesel.



These teases are very similar to the recent Don Mancini teases which led to the reveal of the CULT OF CHUCKY announcement. So if there is any truth to these posts, it will be a while before anything is put down permanently.

Still, it is nice knowing that a possible prequel could be emerging. Only time will tell.
