Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Director Ridley Scott’s 2012 film PROMETHEUS was able to find great success at the box office. With that success comes a great window for a sequel and Scott has been working on the upcoming ALIEN: COVENANT which will be the PROMETHEUS sequel and serve as a prequel to the ALIEN movies.
Today we bring you some new images from ALIEN: COVENANT courtesy of Empire which gives you a great inside look at things to come.
First we see a figure unleashing a bunch of pods on the home planet of the Engineers.
Next we see Michael Fassbender as he play duel roles this time around, reprising the part of David as well as a playing a new android Walter. We see the two character interacting in the second image.
The third image gives us a look at a new creature called the Neomorph, which was inspired by goblin sharks.
No need to worry as there will also be Xenomorphs in the film as well.
The cast of ALIEN: COVENANT is made up of Katherine Waterston, Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, Benjamin Rigby, Callie Hernandez, Billy Crudup and James Franco.
The film was written by Michael Green, Jack Paglen, and John Logan.
"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world -- whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
Michael Fassbender previously had this to say about ALIEN COVENANT:
“It’s much scarier than Prometheus, but it’s got the same sort of scope of Prometheus.”
“It’s kind of got more of thriller, imminent disaster feel that Alien had, so it’s kind of a beautiful meeting of both of those films. I’m really excited to see it, I think it’s gonna be super scary number one and then again with the massive scope of Prometheus… Once it starts and the ball starts rolling, it doesn’t let up. It’s really gonna bring chills to the cinema.”
ALIEN: COVENANT will arrive in theaters on May 19th.
