The next installment into the AMITYVILLE film series titled AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING has been in the works for a long while now. When the movie's release date was first made, it was quickly pushed back into the land of wonder, only to be changed several times.
AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING was set to arrive on January 6th, then was changed over to April 1st. The date was once again pushed back to June 30th.
We have now learned that the film has been pushed back yet another time, to a “Date to be determined”.
AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING is directed by Franck Khalfoun and produced by Jason Blum.
The film stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bella Thorne, McKenna Grace, Cameron Monaghan, Taylor Spreitler, Thomas Mann and Jennifer Morrison.
“Belle, her little sister, and her comatose twin brother move into a new house with their single mother Joan in order to save money to help pay for her brother’s expensive healthcare. But when strange phenomena begin to occur in the house including the miraculous recovery of her brother, Belle begins to suspect her Mother isn’t telling her everything and soon realizes they just moved into the infamous Amityville house.”
Remember that AMITYVILLE: THE AWAKENING will be released on a “Date to be determined”.
