Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
Based on the popular Capcom video game series, the RESIDENT EVIL franchise brought a bit of sadness to fans as THE FINAL CHAPTER was released not that long ago. However, that does not mean that there is not more Evil to come as we learned not long ago that a reboot is now in the making.
Hiroyuki Kobayashi has been involved in the RESIDENT EVIL franchise for a long while and he will be one of the producers for the reboot. Kobayashi recently spoke with Collider and had this to say of the upcoming project:
“I personally like Paul W.S. Anderson’s [direction] on the live-action [films]. Stuff like that, I would like to see more action.”
“We will be getting a new director and also the cast members are going to change, too, but I’m looking forward to doing it.”
James Wan will also be on board as producer. It is unknown if director Paul W.S. Anderson or star Milla Jovovich will be involved. The screenplay was written by Greg Russo.
Only time will tell what we can expect from the RESIDENT EVIL reboot. We will continue to bring you the latest updates.
