Bringing you the best in Horror Movie News, and all things Horror.
With only one week until to the arrival of the seventh season of Ryan Murphy’s AMERICAN HORROR STORY, fans are eager for more of the new installment. This time around it is titled AMERICAN HORROR STORY: CULT, and from the looks of the trailer that we recently brought you (see below), this season could be the best yet. The series has become a mainstay within the Horror TV genre, which will premiere on FX next month.
At a recent event where journalists were able to view the first three episodes, Ryan Murphy revealed some major information about the new season including that Evan Peters would be playing Andy Warhol, David Koresh, Jim Jones, as well as Charles Manson.
Murphy also revealed that Lena Dunham will portray Valerie Solanas, who is the woman that tried to assassinate Andy Warhol.
He went on to add:
“We examine how these people rise to power — they’re idiots.
It’s about female rage and that’s in the country now. Solanas wrote the Scum Manifesto. She told all women to kill men, and it was their only way to rise to power.”
Murphy addresses the Trump and Clinton involvement:
“It’s not about Trump and Clinton (this season). It’s about somebody who put their finger up to the wind and rose up in power and used people’s vulnerabilities, and they feel the world is on fire.”
Synopsis for Season 7:
“American Horror Story 7 takes place in the suburbs of contemporary Detroit with Sarah Paulson in the lead as a New Yorker traumatized by the attacks on September 11th. She developed three strange phobias; Trypophobia, anxiety for patterns in objects with holes or bumps; Coulrophobia, anxiety for clowns, and hemophobia, and irrational fear of blood.”
The cast is made up of Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Cheyenne Jackson, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Alison Pill, Lena Dunham, Billy Eichner, Colton Haynes and Adina Porter. It has been said of Eichner's character that he will be playing a close confidant of Paulson's character.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: CULT will air on FX September 5th.
