CHILD'S PLAY Remake Begins Production - Andy Barclay Cast!

The world just recently learned that MGM's upcoming reboot of CHILD'S PLAY had cast Aubrey Plaza to take on the role of Andy's mother along with Brian Tyree Henry set to play Detective Mike Norris.

We have now learned that young Andy Barclay has cast with Gabriel Bateman.



Bateman starred in LIGHTS OUT.

Official synopsis:

"Child’s Play follows a mother (Plaza) who gives her son (Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature."

The original 1988 film was directed by Tom Holland from a screenplay written by Don Mancini. It starred Catherine Hicks, Dinah Manoff, Chris Sarandon, Alex Vincent, and Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky. The remake is directed by Lars Klevberg (POLAROID) from a screenplay written by KUNG FURY 2 writer Tyler Burton Smith with STEPHEN KING'S IT producers David Katzenberg and Seth Grahame-Smith producing.
