The Day The Earth Stood Still (Remake)...

This was an alright film. Nothing great. The ending could've been much better.

The wife and I were actually thinking of seeing this yesterday until I read in one of my more reliable movie blogs that the CGI special effects were flat out terrible.

We decided to pass, maybe I'll catch it as a rental.

My son is all worked up to see it so I'll check it out sometime soon. I was hoping it would be as good as War of The Worlds remake.....I figured atleast this is one role KEanu cant screw up: an emotionless and robotic alien.

I think Keanu was the only saving grace in this horrible movie.

I watched the original before I watched this one tonight and WOW it really did suck compared to the original.

I didn't saw this yet, but the most comments are very bad. The people who watched this told me that it was a kind of War of the Worlds; changing for mple words: a piece of shit.

I just think that if you won't watch remakes anymore, I'm afraid you won't go to the theaters before 2012... The plans for the movie makers are clear: remake of the remake, or a reboot of a remake... Damn, we have nothing really good or new for months! I'm tired to talk bout remakes, they suck!

So finally I went to a theater to see it. Well, I didn't saw the original, but this remake is a kind surreal. It's different of a clasc sci-fi, like Independence Day or some like this. It's good enough. Some scenes are very good, like the giant robot on the flame room, when he's locked and facing the man through the windows. The story is good too. Nice effects.

What bother me always: Keanu Reeves playing Neo again....
