finished Hannibal resin bust
I got this blank in last week and just finished it. Let me know what you think. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out for my first finishing job on a ren bust.

I did a couple latex masks in August that turned out pretty well. I had this and another ren bust tting in my workshop so figured nce I had some time off over the Xmas break I'd give one of them a shot to see if I could do it.
Of course you do have a Warhouse FULL of busts to use as referance... LMAO J/K'ing bro
Actually you're right on there Ryan. That's exactly what I did...study the pieces in my collection to get ides of what worked and what didn't on other paint jobs.
how did you nail the eyes that well, that is the toughest part.
The eyes were actually pretty tricky...took 2 tries to get them like that. I used a light gray base coat, a med gray stain over top to give them a bit of depth, white drybrushing for highlights, then dark gray rims around the irises and of course the black pupils. I hit them afterwards with some perma-wet to give them the gloss. Getting the ze and look was difficult but getting the second to match the first was the worst part of the whole bust.

what Lee never told us is that he actually bought a Long Grey Haired Wig to go with it and a Black Bandit mask for it as well this way, he can have a Hanibal bust and on the weekends he could have a Zorro bust!Oh yeh, don't forget the black hat!!!
