Vintage Don Post Studios Carlisle

Picked up this Carlisle mask by Don Post Studios. I've wanted one of these for a while and managed to find this original copy (thick black latex with glow-in-the-dark paint). The originals were put out in the late 60s and a few reissues have been done over the years. To me these old school mass produced masks have a real Halloween feel to them.

When I opened the box, the mask was covered in such a thick layer of grunge that the mask no longer glowed in the dark. After spending a while carefully cleaning it up, the gitd paint was able to glow again under blacklight.

Thanks guys but just to clarify, this is still the original paint. All I did was very carefully clean the 40 years of grunge and grime off of it (when I pulled it out of the box the whole thing was the brownish-black color of an old tire).

Thats Awesome Lee!!! I can remember going up town when I was a youngster with my Grandma. It was a Nice cool fall day and the leafs were starting to turn. We stopped in at Murphy's Drug Store where I seen this really kool Dracula mask. It looked like the original Dracula and I am not sure who made it. I was just a kid. I told my Grandma about it and she bought it for me! I wore it all the time. I wish I new what happend to it.

That mask ment the world to me. Between that one and the Mummy mask my neighbor gave me because he knew how much I liked masks.

Those were my fondest memories growing up.

This Frank mask is pretty sweet man and being Vintage like this makes it all the more cherishable! Nice Score Man! --Ryan
