Mask reshaping?

Please forgive me if this is in the wrong section.

What do you use to reshape a latex mask?

I just received a mask that looks like it has been stored incorrectly.

The neck has curled from where it was on a stand that was too short.

Would a hairdryer on low setting bring this mask's neckline back to shape?

The head is slightly out of round as well, but I plan on stuffing it with plastic bags to fix that.

Thats a great question Ballz. Here is what I have did in the past. I have stuffed a mask the way I like it and then set it out in the sun for a day. Thats always worked perfect. However I do realize it may be 30 degrees where your at so that probably won't work. I would try the hair dryer thing, I am sure that would work as well...

Thanks for the input.

I've stuffed the mask to get the head shape right, but the neck is still bothering me.

I'll work on it later tonight if I get a chance.

It looks like all the latex needed was time.

Within 24 hours of being on a stand, the neck started to return to it's original shape.

Here's where it stands a week later.

Not perfect, but it's getting there.

I've had my go around with a mask and blow dryer already...

Bought a Warehouse Stored Mass Produced Eddie mask from Iron Maiden... The case ze is small and they probably hold 100 pcs each so if you can ONLY IMAGIN the way it looked... I must'ev spent a week streight every day blow drying it once or twice a day just to get it decent... It's fine now, but for the record I don't intend on going through that hell ever again... lol... took forever... --Ryan
