New Matrix Trilogy on the way . . . WHY???
Warner Bros Announces New Matrix Sequel: The Matrix Resurrection.
Tuesday was the tenth anniversary of The Matrix, and Joel lver made a surprise appearance tonight at ShoWest to announce that Warner Bros has officially greenlit a fourth Matrix Film. Produced by lver, based on a treatment from The Wachowski Brothers, and directed by James McTeigue, The Matrix: Resurrection will be written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
Resurrection is expected to explore more religious philosophy and explain the meaning of life.
When an evil virus which is injected into the Matrix mainframe by a renegade group of hackers lead by Robert Pattinson, Neo must return from “the dead” to stop the mass corruption and travel back in time to save the world.
Keanu Reeves has not yet gned on to the project, but lver is hopeful that he will return alongde some of the other trilogy cast members, also not gned. Sam Worthington is on board to play the computer virus named Sloof Lirpa.
McTeigue plans to shoot the film, the first of two new trilogies (yes, x films), ung an advanced performance capture process milar to the tech used on James Cameron’s Avatar.
All I can say is, "why do we need this?"
If the original cast doesn't return they need to can this idea asap.

Time Travel? Zombie Neo? So far this sounds like it's going to be a pretty bad movie. Smith was the reason I liked the first 3 he was my favorite character, but now that he's gone I dont know if I'd watse my money on this. It may be good if they take out the time travel and zombie neo part, because right now in my mind I'm imagining "Back to the night of the living matrix." I dont think we need another Matrix trilogy. The first 3 were good why cant we just leave it at that?

I dunno maybe it's just me but a 4th one just seems so pointless...lol well if they do go ahead w/it I agree if it's not the old cast it will most probably suck. who knows it will probably suck anyway...lol
