Finally painted my MMFX Part 4 Jason bust

Hey guys!

I've had this bust for a good 6 months now, just doing little bits here and there in between commisons.

And well, I finally finished it... and thought I would share it with you guys.I'm new to full scale, and I don't really have an airbrush or anything fancy... just brushes, paint, powder and drive to make it look good.... so be gentle.

Next is Jason from Friday part 4, a bust I have had and been slowly working on for half a year or so... finally just did the blood and eyes... so he's done.

Thanks guys!

And yeah, no airbrush here... so it was a lot of wash work, minute brush work, and lots of patience.

I went a little overboard with the blood, it's not exactly screen accurate... but I wanted it that way.

The bloodier the better. I DO want an airbrush eventually.... it would help me out a lot.

I'm hoping the Wife will hook me up come Christmas.

outstanding job. Have you thought about putting epoxy on the eyes and/or teeth area to give it more of a wet look?

take care, Tommy

Thanks Tommy!

I would be interested in doing that, just never have worked with that before.

Do you know how to do it and what kind of epoxy to use?

I was just ung gloss acrylic.

I honestly cannot remember the type I have used in the past. I know it can be bought pretty much anywhere. It is a two part epoxy that comes in a double syringe. you squirt the two into a cup.....mix well and apply. Make absolutely sure though that you get the kind that dries clear(some of them dry a weird baby shit yellow color) and it has enough working time so that it doesn't dry on you too quickly....or you can always get some permawet from monster makers.

take care, Tommy

Fantastic paint up my friend! Impresve! Well done.....

P.S. I believe the epoxy brand is Devcon 5 min epoxy.

Looks incredible. The details are amazing and certainly even more seeing you didn't have an airbrush.
