Spirit Lifesize RZ Myers

I just got back from Spiritand I gotta say the lifeze, animated RZ Myers is pretty cool.

I got a quick cellphone pic.

The sculpt and finishing work on his mask are really nice and the animation is pretty good.

The only big problem is he's only 6', so we could see eye to eye photo.jpg

The RZH1 mask however was piece of shit, it made last years look like the Mona Lisa.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it) my phone died before I could get a pic

That one actually looks pretty good.

It doesn't look too bad except for the coveralls.

Someone over at MM.net bought one and posted some pictures of it, and the coveralls looked to be made of a shiny nylon material.

It looked pretty horrible.

I didn't get a good look at the coveralls

Also, here's this for those of you not on the mailing list

Here is the link to the MM.net article I mentioned earlier.

I think the coveralls are made from the same material as the kite I had when I was a kid.

The coveralls suck as does the lacking of ze but overall I thought it was pretty cool and would love to buy one.

By the looks of it the mask is not removable... Looks like it's all one unit... That sucks... The paint and hair work are poor as well, but the sculpt is all but dead on... If the mask was removable, I'd conder getting one the day after Halloween when things are like 75% off and just re finishing the mask, but it doesnt look like it is even latex... As far as I am concerned, looks like a big rip off for 300 bucks... They can keep it...

I'd sooner buy Casey's H1...

Yeah the head is plastic. I wonder if better coveralls would be too heavy for the arm movement?

If they have any left I may pick one up on Nov. 1 and see what can be done to fix him

I know from having tried other clothes on my other animated figures they don't take the weight well.

That actually looks better than I would have expected.

I might have to pick this up.

AFTER halloween though, thats for sure. You know those animatronics don't last forever, so you could eventually put some accurate coveralls on him.

agreed. i am suprised on how well this looks. i think a little tough up painting might make this worth owning.

I also went by Spirit today to check this one out. I must say I was really disappointed. I don't even think it is quite 6ft tall. The body is extremely flimsy, even for a Gemmy product. The eyes were probably the best part of the piece, with pretty lifelike movement and paint job. He does move almost exactly like the lifeze versus Jason from a few years back.

take care, Tommy

Once he's out of the box and you set him up he's pretty cool.
