THE COMMANDER IS FINISHED..........BEFORE AND AFTER PICS...

This is my FIRST paint job... I'm trying to get a '75 feel out of it. I ordered some Carmel colored Merino hair from Copper moose last night... It's the closest hair I could find to best match the 1975 Kirk... I'll hopefully have some finished pictures by the end of the weekend. I did manage to get some brown eyes for him as well and I put those in today.

Enjoy the pics!

I have 2 photos that are de by de of what it did look like and what it looks like now...

Thanks for looking!

I WOULD LIKE TO GET ONE OF THESE. IS THAT AN ORIGINAL JACKINTHEBOX MASK?
deadmanfred Friday 9/18/2009 at 05:46 PM | 54945
It was a Commander '75 (UL75)... Originally came from Jack In The Box, but it once belonged to the Admin, BooMan. I won this in a Horrorbid contest last year and just recently deded to redo it...

Thanks!!!

OK... This is my first hair job on a mask too... so this is my first mask that I painted and haired. It is a UL75. I won this on here last year and I've been wanting to redo it for a while. Anyway, I know it's not perfect, but I am pretty pleased with it nce it was my first atempt at both a paint job and a hair job...

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I used Merino Hair from Copper Moose. That stuff is HARD to work with... Very fine...

GREAT JOB MAN!!! You did fantastic, especially for your first shot... Looks like h4 hair! Work on laying that hairline a little tighter and youre there man. After you nail that im gonna have to teach you how the men do it, by hand punching it all... theres a reason im the only one doing it (and its not because im smart )

Thanks Brother!

I don't if anyone uses Merino hair on a mask, but it is a very fine soft hair and it is not easy putting it on. lol... I realised my mistakes after I was finished and I am confident that the next mask I hair will look even better. If I ever get my Mr. Happy blank, I'll be putting on the Camel hair then. That feels like it wont be as bad laying...

Thanks again Cannibal!

And thanks to everyone else!
