My first CLEAR blank paint up. Just thought the Hockey mask fans would like.

fantastic work Gene! What are the perks of ung a clear blank as a canvas. Are you able to get a bit of a transparent look? Just curious because I've seen these pop up all the sudden. Whatever the case may be they look great and yours turned out on point man...

for years , mask painters have noticed that the screenshots of the part 3 and 4 mask had a depth to them that was very difficult to paint. Turns out, it is because a clear blank was used and the INDE of the mask was painted with the base coat, and then the washes and scratches are added to the outde. This gives you that depth. eaest thing to point out is the nose mark. The white part you see is actually the paint on the back of the mask. you'll notice a slight shadow on it

Very good idea! No doubt thats the best way for depth! Were does one score a clear blank with straps???
