Hands of the Ripper gives us a very cool concept with some early slasher elements that any red blooded horror fan will appreciate. Here, we take a sweet faced girl and give her a very dark de that gets triggered over and over again as the movie movies along. We have a doctor who seems to be thinking with the wrong part of his body in his quest to help this girl and it all makes for a very cool time as we witness one of Hammmer’s more gruesome entries. We got some cool kills, interesting characters, and all of comes together in a way that doesn’t at all seem boring to spite its connection to Jack the Ripper, which has been done a million times in different ways.

I also find this movie to have some really fun dialogue. It almost seems like curng in a classy way, if that makes any sense to you. I know given the characters and their accents, hearing one of them curse out someone makes for a hilarious time. And, Synapse also hits a home-run again on the transfer front as they bring this old movie alive in all its glory with a stunning 1080p Blu-ray. This is the best Hands of the Ripper have ever looked and it is here complete in this release for the first time in the United States. All in all you have a must-own release on our hands.
