No Rob Zombie here kids. Universal has officially announced plans to bring the original 1981 horror film sequel “Halloween II” to Blu-ray Disc on September 13th — just in time for the holiday itself; Halloween. The release will come in the form of a “30th Anniversary Edition“. Tech specs for the release include full 1080p Hi-Def video and DTS 5.1 “Processed Surround” and 2.0 Stereo sound — sadly no DTS-HD MA will be present it appears; but this could be a typo. The title is not yet available for pre-order over at Amazon but stay tuned and we will keep you updated as to when it does. The bonus materials set to be included on the release are listed below.
New Features:
Alternate Ending
Terror In the Aisles Documentary
Behind the Scenes/Deleted Scenes
Pocket BLU App
UPDATE: I’m really hoping the info I read earlier regarding this only containing DTS turns out to be false; as I’d love to see this NOT be Universal‘s first film to NOT receive a lossless (DTS-HD MA) mix. Someone please correct me here if that is the case; namely someone from Universal!
