I have Halloween on Blu-ray and it is fucking phenomenal. I definitely will have to get my hands on the sequel.

I've seen Halloween probably more than any other horror film, and even i was surprised at some of the subtle details the Blu-ray brings to light. Just little stuff, like when Laurie and her friend are talking to the cop in front of the costume shop, you clearly see Michael pull up to the stop gn behind them. Before making his left hand turn he looks both ways for traffic. It isn't really gnificant or change the way we look at the film, but its just something small you really couldn't see when you were watching it in SD.
