Famous Monsters of Filmland Issue #258 Cover Will Have You Reaching For Your Broomstick!
Before Horrorhound, before Rue Morgue, before Fangoria, there was Famous Monsters of Filmland. The famouns magazine have released the image of their next issue, and condering Army of Darkness is my favorite movie ever, there's a good chance this is going on my collector's shelf!
The damsel in distress, the lone night time jogger in the park, the showering co-ed, the innocent girl whose car breaks down on the de of the road—women are often relegated to small and lly roles in the horror world. But in Famous Monsters of Filmland #258 we celebrate all things female. From lady vamps to witches, women have made some of the most compelling and memorable leads in all of Horrordom. We’ve got Yvonne De Carlo and Ingrid Pitt to Elvira, Vampirella, and so many more, this issue is staked full of Femme Fatale’s, Lady Lycans, and Vixenous Vamps.
