POST YOUR CONTEST VIDEO ENTRY BELOW: MUST BE REGISTERED FORUM MEMBER TO POST. (GOOD LUCK) For years he has been tting and waiting! Lurking behind the shadowy lhouette of our harvest orange moon. Who is he? What is his name? What exactly does he look like? The question has been asked countless times and FINALLY he has been revealed. In a contest to end all contests HorrorBid teams with some of the biggest horror companies on the planet to give you a contest to end all contests!

In a partnership with THE PROP SHOP, the team at HorrorBid has worked countless hours back and fourth to make sure we helped craft the greatest new 'slasher' horror mask that the world has ever seen. From Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Leatherface, the mask of aslasher legendis the crux of what makes the horror genre fun for many of us. When HorrorBid

was born nearly 4 years ago we created a logo with our own 'slasher in mind. We gave him shape but it's time for you to give him life!

Including prizes worth over $500 including at $250

cash prize the winning horror video shorts will be judged by the director of HUSK, Brett mmons. How do you enter? It's as mple as one, two, three.

It is literally that mple! The deadline for video entries is April 1st (this is no fools day for us however) and the top three videos will be narrowed down with the winner being announced by HUSK director Brett mmons. And who knows, maybe you're dreams of millions and millions of rabid horror fans seeing your work will be realized.

Winning video will also be featured on the front page of HorrorBid and blasted through our countless networks. We are looking for creativity. Any costume or wardrobe will work to combine with the mask. The HorrorBid 'Slasher' mask

I will be shooting a video but I am the only person not eligible to win! However we have had a great number of you guys and gals purchase a mask in the first day or so which I would equate to contest entries, we hope! Plus plenty of time to enter.

Great question and the answer is yes you can use copyrighted muc. Because these are contest entries and are not being sold for monetary gain any muc will work. Good question and hope that helps.

The video can be up to 5 minutes long at the most, does that count credits, either opening or clong or even both. Not long credits but just a mentioning of the people involved?

Or does it mean just 5 minutes of actual footage?

On a note about the muc, Youtube has a pretty good agreement with a few record companies so if you use muc protected by them, I think Warner Brothers is one, they'll drop all of your audio. Be sure to test it first. If you can't get around Youtube, try Vimeo.com.......as long as Justin, Lord of the Brazilian Girly Boy Brigade, will allow it. I've had to use them several times for stuff Youtube wouldn't allow. Nothing infuriates you more than spending hours making something only to have Youtube say that the audio was protected so your ENTIRE audio track has been dropped!!!

Several of my videos have copyrighted muc, and have not had the muc dropped when I do this. Hey guys, to answer a few questions here.

The short does have to be 5 minutes long credits included. What we are telling many people is to maybe make an extended cut that you can show with your original that includes the credits, also you can credit people in your post when you enter your video.

As for the masks shipping. Casey just sent out a large batch today, expect these to be arriving soon. Here are some production pics that he took on Thursday. These are selling so fast that we literally will be cutting off order soon mply because of the trouble of keeping up shipping and getting these things out in time to make your shorts. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks all and we are super excited to see what everyone has in store...

Got my mask yesterday. Nice surprise after a long day of work.

Finally got the mask yesterday. Looks even better than it does in the pics. Can't wait to see it come to life. Production starts in two weeks!!!!

I've been lurking Horrorbid for a long time now and didn't even realize that I hadn't made a profile. I ordered my mask on the cutoff date, the 15th because of money issues.

Hopefully it arrives in time to film, edit and post my short.

Wow! This is a great short. It could ealy serve as a teaser for a longer film. You could use this to get funding to make a longer film for sure. I can see that a lot of work must have been put into shooting all the footage in this. It is great. I wish you luck in the contest.

I like when the young lady smacks the killer up de the head with the movie binder. And I also like when she is trying to run away only to run face first into a tree. The best was when the killer is playing Mary had a little lamb on the piano at the end. This should be hard to beat. You should be in the top three for sure. Good luck.

I had to change quite a bit in my script as well as cutting scenes out to fit within 5 minutes. I really like your ending man, it was ck, props on your film too by the way.

Thanks guys for all of the feedback!..In the original script, i had some cool back story stuff and why the title was FANATIC.

That was one of the things i had to cut out unfortunately.

But, as with any great

horror movie (like Halloween), the the less you know about the killer, the more mysterious and scary he becomes. The one thing i was going for with the killer was a nister guy with morbid senese of humor, and be an overall creepy dude with his own personality and did not play off of other horror icons. I hope it showed through all of the shots of him!

At times I thought I was watching something that was profesonal shot for a film.

Plus, the opening phone conversation v.o. that complimented the visuals was a slick way to convey information to the audience.

I really have to second that "cutting the script" thing! I kept cutting it and cutting it! I thought for sure I could fit in the story I wanted! I think my final cut was 4:59:97!! Granted I could have cut the intro, but what fun is that?! I wanted to make one of those really crappy movies I used to watch on Sunday afternoons at my Grandma's, so I HAD to have that intro!

Nothing was shot before. On the 21st we shot everything in the appartement and on the second night, we shot all the flashback scenes and insert until 5am. Thanks for the good word :)

Thanks man! I'm glad you enjoyed sans the muc. I am going to edit a directors cut which will have muc, sound fx and will have the cuts I wanted to make and scenes I had to cut out etc. Should be ten times better.
