The first horror movie I ever saw was HalloweeN II. That scared me, but held me in my seat like nothing else ever had. I was totally enthralled. I started imagining Michael Myers standing in various places thoughout my house... scaring myself senseless. I went straight from that to... The Exorcist. Mind you, I was like 6 years old when I saw it. My parents warned me about it but were cool enough to let me watch. I spent the majority of the movie with my head buried in between the couch cushons. That movie scared the fuck out of me. It got to the point where, whenever I was in the dark alone, I would imagine Regan standing somewhere... looking at me. That went on for a while, and I had many, MANY sleepless nights. Then I realized what had happened. My life had been totally effected by these pretend monsters in a movie. It wasn't real, and I knew that... but it terrified me. That was when I knew that what I was mesng with was something extraordinary. Fake monsters in gory make-up have the power to evoke extreme emotions in people. I was hooked. From then on I was amazed at how make-up artists created these illuons. I started watching more and more films and paying attention to how they did things (Romero's zombie flicks especially). I built this love for EVERYTHING horror, mply because of how powerful it is. And because it's fucking cool.

I didn't mean to write a novel, I promise.

Haha... Don't feel bad Pat! EVERYONE knows that Harry can't say a few words without it turning into a dictionary! haha... I'm not sure why that is, but I geuss I just try to be as discriptive as possable with everything!

Me and Horror go WAY back to when I was about 5 HOURS old... haha I was in the hospital bed with mom watching "Night Of The Living Dead".Thats what she tells me!

When I was 6 yrs. old, my Neighbor's son David was about 15 or 16. They had just gotton back from there vacation in Florida. Anyway, David had purchased a '85 Don Post Myers Mask from this local shop in FL... He came outde wearing this mask and I was like WOW!!! so I ran over as a little kid and from that point on my

fanation with the mask lead into watching the movies with David!!! Still talk to him to this day! He still has the mask and I am trying like hell to get it from him! haha!

Thats all it took for me and I'll NEVVVVVVEERRRRR give it up!!!

Well I have always loved horror movies and I got more and more into it over the years. I love the b-role acting and camp factor in the films and who doesn't like one good scare of a few along the way?

Happy b-day horrorbid!

LOL I started to post in this thread yesterday but kept having to get up and loong it it just wasn't happening....

Let see alittle about me...

I'm 27 (next month) from New York and I do customer service for a diet company that delivers food to the house. I am absolutely addicted to all things horror related and have a 4 year old who for the most part shares that addiction. LOL

It all started when I was around 7 or so, my mother let me watch the original nightmare on elm street and have been addicted to horror ever nce. I have been collecting horror movies a long time although there were a few year breaks in between. Have just recently started collecting everything else horror related and am enjoying every minute of it...HAHAHA.

Happy BDay HorrorBid :)
