The best I've ever been to in the Ohio area where I live was called The Experience.
It was an outdoor, self-guided attraction in which you walked a path in the woods with stops along the way that formed a story.
It wasn't your typical "cheap scares" type of attraction.
It was more psychological in nature, as figures in dark hooded robes that you could barely see followed you at a distance, cracking twigs and rustling leaves along the way to each stop on the tour.
The whole thing lasted about 30 minutes depending on how fast you walked through.
It was almost as much fun tting around the fire they had burning next to the ticket booth and listening to each tour screaming their heads off as they walked through.
They moved it to the Columbus, OH area last year and tried to do it inde.
Turns out the building they rented had several safety issues, and the fire marshal shut them down after only a few performances.
It looks like they didn't recover from that because they aren't putting on the show this year.
It's a damn shame to, it was the best I've ever been to.
