Bruce Campbell not too old....

Come on people if there going to do the remake, why not Ash himself!

When celebrities get too old to do an action movie they get de kicks. Bruce Willis got the Macintosh guy for Live Free or Die Hard, Harrison Ford gets Shia LeBouf (or however you spell his name) for the new Indiana Jones Movie, I mean even Shrek got Justin Timberlake as a dekick and he's just a cartoon character that's getting old. So all Mr. Campbell needs is a dekick maybe a bastard son and he'll be kicking deadite butt once again. Who do you think should be his dekick?

I'd vote for Ryan Phillippe, he's dorky enough to be Ash's right hand man, my original pick would have been Shia LeBouf but Dr. Jones got to him first.

It could go something like this, the book of the dead is now in a museum and as a prank Ryan Phillipe and friends break into it on Halloween or soething and unknowingly conjure the evil once again. He would then be forced to team up with Ash to save himself and the world... OK OK it's just an idea. I wanna here who'd you pick as a de kick and what would happen to bring the unlikely pair together

Ok, So I'm thinking Nicholas Brendon best known for his role as Xander Harris in the TV series of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Rumors of the Evil Dead remake have already stirred around Brendon actually playing the Ash character due not only his milar Bruce Campbell appearance but also his amazing acting style resemblance to the Chinned one.

Personally I'd love to see Brendon play the spawn of Ash LOL.

So here's my story line.

The Book of the Dead is again unleashed upon the world and Brendon, known as Ash, shows up to fight the Evil.

3/4 of the movie we think Brendon has been recasted as the Ash character then only to have Bruce show up for the climactic battle revealing (to the audience) that Brendan's Ash was really Jr.

What do you think?

I smell oscar written all over that premise!

I like that. I like it alot. Maybe he could be known mainly as Ashley though, mixed with a few Ashes. We'd still have the same thought, it would just be a little less obvious. Very good idea man. Write it, and pitch it.

I tell you what, if I had the time I would write it but unfortunately I'm so dang busy It would never get the proper treatment it deserves.

In the past I took several screen writing classes and I've actually written in proper style a full feature length screenplay.

Problem is I don't know any agents and movie "code" is that you have at least 7 screenplays under your belt before you start pitching.

(not that there haven't been one hit wonders before).

Well if you've ever got time off, and you like writing, I say do it. Just for the hell of it even. I mean it would be a shame to have such a good idea and never put it on paper. Otherwise you might as well have never had the idea in the first place.
