Hey guys its you friendly neighborhood BooMan here to address our recent "Jacko" controversy we had yesterday. First off let me say that I understand that a post was deleted because it was tasteless at a time when a lot of people are in shock by the death of an icon. I do support the post being deleted because, like others have mentioned, it's just not the time nor the place to rip on a guy that just died. Tommy was just doing what inevitably would have been done by the other mods.

One thing that does concern me is this venom that is being spewed about Tommy being a moderator here. Tommy was brought aboard because Joel and I are focung on HorrorBid as a whole and the forum can be a full time job. Trust me on this. We are seeing a pattern start to develop here and Tommy for whatever reason is becoming a lighting rod for everything that is happening here lately. A few of our members seem to think that Tommy is censoring this forum and making it less "fun". I am not sure where this is coming from as I have yet to hear what exactly Tommy has done to cause this issue. Tommy has did nothing but follow the rules that have been posted here on this forum nce its conception. If you can please be specific as to what your unhappy wit,h I would love to hear it.

Now this forum along with HorrorBid is very fluid. We are always trantioning into different potions trying to provide you guys with the very best FREE horror te on the net. This means that changes are always happening and some of those you may agree with or you may not. The one thing with having so many members is we can't make everyone happy. It just doesn't work that way.

I have always called the forum here the "Evil Dead" of the message boards because first and foremost I want this place to be fun. Sarcasm is encouraged and good nature ribbing is what separates this forum from any of the others. We will never stop with that motto. But with this there comes a fine line between whats acceptable and whats not and we leave it to our moderators to decide this. For example, in this thread many people agreed that the post by Ballz was a bit much for the moment. It was no big deal, it was deleted and a post was issued stating why it was deleted. Normally that would have been the end of it but we come back to this issue of Tommy being dubbed as the bad guy.

I hope you enjoy this te and what we do for each and everyone of you. We literally spend hours of our day trying to give you guys something we all can be proud of. Our moderators are a tight knit group of people that really care about this community and they give up a lot of their free time to make this a good forum experience for everyone. It's my goal to cycle through every member and give them a taste for what being a moderator is really like. It's not the Hollywood fame that you thing it is! (see that's the sarcasm I was talking about)

One thing is for certain HorrorBid isn't going anywhere and we will always grow and evolve. We hope you continue for the ride.

Am I the only person to say that I think Tommy is doing fine as a mod and is certainly not a bully?

From when I first joined here I quickly noticed that Tommy has a plethora of knowledge for horror and horror collecting and he is quick to share it with everyone. He's a friendly guy but he's also no nonsense and its ironic that a lot of guys who like to dish it out cant handle it when it comes back to them.

I never saw Tommy act rude or out of line once.

i always thought tommy was a mod here anyway. i havent noticed anything different at all or any threads being deleted. i vit this forum at least once a day. i call this place home and always will. i appreciate everything all you guys do for us. this place rocks!

this forum is nice and laid back. how could anyone say otherwise?

tommy and the rest of the mods are great and this te is the best out there. i hope that scott from qots comes back and mods one day again but other than that everything is like it always has been.

Thats a really great post to make after everything that happened yesterday. I am new to this place but I really like it and everyone has been nothing but nice.

Well I have no idea what's going on, didn't catch the drama yesterday it seems but for what it's worth I think he's doing fine as a moderator, I can't imagine it's an easy task lol. I actually thought he's been going about it in a very profesonal way and maybe that's what is throwing some people off. He's been keeping on top of things, that's the point isn't it?
