Well we all kinda saw this coming but today it is official.
Several months ago, it was reported that NBC was not happy with the pilot episode for "Mockingbird Lane" TV series, which is a reboot of 1960s "The Munsters" show. At the time, producer Bryan Fuller ("Pushing Daies") denied the news, claiming that everything was still on track.
The network ended up airing the pilot episode as a Halloween special, which received good reviews and decent ratings (5.4 million viewers). But now comes word from Fuller that the network will not proceed with "Mockingbird Lane." He wrote on Twitter: "I
with a heavy heart. NBC
not moving forward with 'Mockingbird Lane.' From producers and cast, thank you all for enthuasm and support."
As always, Fuller can probably take "Mockingbird Lane" to a different network. But by the tone of his Twitter message, it seems that he too has given up on the show.
