It has been known that a televion series based on "The Exorcist" was being developed. The project has evolved into a drama series and Morgan Creek is showing it off to televion networks. Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four reboot) is the writer of the Exorcist series and it is said to be a fresh take on the previous story.

"The Exorcist" televion series is only in thee early stages of development. This project is being pitched to cable and broadcasting networks. The film itself is a household name and with the popularity of horror on televion during this era, it would not be surpring to see all of networks dishing out the dough to pull some ratings and ease their stressed out minds.

Morgan Creek is the owner to the rights of "The Exorcist" and is behind the project. Roy Lee (The Departed, The Ring) is on board as the executive producer. I'm sure we will hear much more about all of this in the near future.Source- DailyDead.com

I dunno how i feel about this...i think it would be better to t through a remake than a tv series. Somethings seem like great ideas for TV and The Exorcist isnt one of them
