David Duchovny Speaks On THE X-FILES Reboot TV Series!

It has been twelve years now since THE X-FILES television series left our living rooms. Just this past weekend we brought you the big news that Fox is considering the possibility of bringing back the highly popular science fiction TV series which starred David Duchovny as FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder and Gillian Anderson who portrayed Special Agent Dana Scully. Fox also revealed that if all goes well that they are looking to bring back Duchovny and Anderson, as well as the series creator Chris Carter.

With all of the buzz going on about the possible return of the show, David Duchovny spoke with USA Today saying that he is:

“more than happy and excited to bring it [The X-Files] back and do it again with Gillian [Anderson] and Chris [Carter].”

With series creator Chris Carter saying that he is looking at this summer as a possible time for the series to begin moving forward, Duchovny says:

“I’m assuming that it will happen sooner rather than later now. We’ll see what form, how many [episodes]. Certainly I can’t nor would I be interested in doing a full season. It will be in some kind of limited form. We're all old, we don't have the energy for a full season."

Fox TV Group chairman Dana Walden stated that while looking into the options of a new version of THE X-FILES they are seeking out times which would best work out for Duchovny and Anderson as their combined schedules are a factor.

Please keep in mind that Fox Has Not yet greenlit the new would be X-FILES series. David Duchovny nor Gillian Anderson have officially been signed on. It does however appear that the possibility of the show being revived is becoming more likely.
