As a new version of THE TWILIGHT ZONE series now moving forward at CBS All Access, yet another Rod Serling anthology series is being resurrected, NIGHT GALLERY is being developed for SYFY.
Deadline is reporting that SYFY has indeed picked up the new version of NIGHT GALLERY to be reimagined. Jeff Davis and David Janollari are developing the series along with Universal TV and Universal Cable Prods. co-producing.
After the original TWILIGHT ZONE wrapped up its run from 1959-1964 on CBS, NIGHT GALLERY began airing on NBC from 1969-1973. The show was very similar to THE TWILIGHT ZONE and was a Horror anthology series and was hosted by Serling. He also wrote a lot of the episodes.
Steven Spielberg directed two segments and the series had guest stars such as Joan Crawford, Sally Field, and Mickey Rooney.
