The original TREMORS movie I am going to go on record and say that its a flawless movie. I can't count the number of times I've watched the film but I caught it last night again and I tried my damnedest to find something wrong with the movie. Nothing, just nothing there to complain about. Am I wrong here?

Yup, TREMORS is a helluva movie for sure. I have watched it several times myself. It's just all around good stuff,

it is a fun thrill ride indeed.

You know, I have to absolutely agree! Even if it's on regular TV, where they edit the crap out of it, I'll still watch it to the end no matter where I come in. Thank god it was before the times when everything was CG! The Graboids work so well because they are in fact right there in front of them! When they crash through the floor or out of the ground, they're actually there! When the tentacles flop around, they're real and not some bad cartoony image that the actors are pretending to be afraid of!

The characters are all great. The acting is great throughout. Perfect amount of suspense, gore, humor, action. Finn Carter plays Rhonda LeBeck in a way that she's hot, but not in a non approachable, unattainable way. The average geek really feels like his vast useless knowledge on some totally nerdariffic topic might actually impress her! And for Christ's sake, Keven Bacon. If Kevin Bacon was in a remake of two girls one cup, well......I'll stop there, but you know you'd watch it.

.......yep, gonna have to write a tribute song.

Brock you wrapped it up perfectly and a tribute song would be the shiznit! You're absolutely right about the non CGI usage. The Graboids (terrific name) actually look legit. Fred Ward is the man and of course Kevin Bacon nails his role also. Its just so solid throughout the whole film and even the TV cut is good. This is a movie that they literally can't improve upon in a remake. Seriously, it couldn't be done.

Now the big question is, has anyone seen the sequels? One of them (I think its the 3rd film) takes place in the old west. It's a prequel and is HILARIOUSLY bad.

I've only seen 1 and 2. It was also about 3 years ago and I can't remember much about them. But the official movie list goes up to 4 with an apparent 5 in the making. Guess I should go back and watch all of them. I can remember 1 being awesome and 2 being almost equally so. But 3 and 4 must have slipped under my radar. Are they even worth watching?

That is an awesome flick! I love Michael Gross's character. Particularly the scene where he and his wife are in his basement/bunker and that Graboid busts through the wall and the two of them just start firing every type of gun imaginable. They don't stop the damn thing till they use an elephant gun on it.

Man that was just brutal and seriously funny!

Michael Gross and Fred Ward were awesome in that movie! I only saw the first 2 but I have the others. I'll have to dig them out.

"You just broke into the wrong goddamn rec-room!" and the ever immortal "You would think after eating all those sheep they'd take a dump someplace!" oh Burt... such a one for words...
