I found it to be UN-Nessessary for those to hick bastards to bring that girl in Michael's Room and rape her... Completely Uncalled for... If they wanted to piss Mike off all they had to do was go in there and screw around with his masks... I didn't like how michael killed that colored janitor either... I didnt care for the ending, how laurie shot him in the face... Kinda pointless for a sequel... But what I did like, was seeing grown up Jamie Loyds BBBOOOOOOOBBBBSSSSS!!!--Ryan

malcolm mcdowell doing any of donald pleasence's line

horrible girl talk especially between laurie and her mom

its supposed to be in the 90s yet they have new millenium phones (not a mjor gripe just something that annoyed me)

im big joe grizzly bitch! (hmmmm lets use a catchphrase that was dead 2 months after it became popular)

see anything you like? (NOBODY SHOULD EVER BE ALLOWED TO SAY THAT LINE OTHER THAN PJ!!!!!_

bad rip off death scenes i already saw in the original

what the fuck was michael doing to begin with? trying to kill his ster or reunite with her??????????????

and i still stand by my original assertion of the movie, the god damned laurie is his ster storyline should have NEVER been incorporated into this!

and on one last note because i know a lot of you laughed when i posted this months ago....................i still say he knew who she was because she still smelled of boo poo!

Where to begin...

I suppose the whole idea of giving Myers a backstory is my biggest gripe with the movie. RZ said many times that he wanted to make Myers scary again so he promptly takes away the one thing that made Myers scary in 1978, namely the lack of motive. He took a character who was the embodiment of evil and turned him into a Jerry Springer guest.

Speaking of Springer, what the hell was the point of turning the Myers family into white trash? Is RZ doing this because that's all he knows? Completely unnecessary and again taking away from what made the character scary in the first place.

The death scenes also had me shaking my head. Until this movie I had never seen a horror movie kill dragged out to the point it actually became boring. I didn't even think it was posble yet RZ managed to do it.

I also thought what made the original so great is it introduced you to the three girls early in the film and developed their characters so that you actually gave a shit when they were killed off. In RZ's veron he spent the first half of the movie on the backstory then tried to cram the original into the last half of the movie, leaving zero room for character development. Instead of a trio of teenage girls that we got to know we were introduced to three shallow caricatures who were in competition to see how many profanities they could fit in a ngle sentence. Instead of reacting negatively to their deaths, the audience is just relieved they don't have to listen to them anymore.

The casting actually had a few bright spots. Daeg was fantastic in his role. I think Malcom McDowell is a fantastic actor and did a good job however he is no Donald Pleasence. I think RZ should have recognized that and changed the character to the point it was a very different Dr Loomis so Malcom wouldn't have had to try and fill DP's role. As it is, it just feels wrong when Malcom recited DP's old lines and you end up with what appears to be a sub-par performance. On the flipde of that was RZ's determination to include many of the cast members of his first two films in small roles which added nothing to the film. The sole exception was his wife who surpringly (at least to me) did quite an adequate job.Maybe it's just me but I thought RZ's whole lowbrow approach to the movie was just wrong. He claimed he wanted to scare people but in the end I didn't think anything in the movie was scary at all. All it achieved was I felt the need to take a shower after watching it. There's a difference between scary and repugnant and I don't think he understands that.

Those are just a few thoughts off the top of my head.

First off you really should not compare it to the original .It is a whole different idea.I liked it a lot myself, yeah even the language.Makes more sense as to why he is so fucked up, having to deal with the shit in the household. If mikey came from good family roots, then he probably would have been fairly normal. There had to be a reason he was screwed in the head, and living around that kind of shit, i can see why he would become evil. I really enjoyed the scenes with the bully in the woods, and the bat in the kitchen.Good ole american brutality. Also he was not trying to kill his s, he only attacked her cause she could not calm her ass down when he put the knife down and got on his knees.she just had to stab him.lol I do agree that he should have spared a couple victims, nce they were nice to him. I really liked the rape part.It got my adrenalin rolling to start with as I hate rapists with every fiber in my body, and was really glad to see him destroy those assholes. And lastly, I really like the fact that he was monstrous.I am a big guy and a small little Michael never really scared me too much, but someone like mane chang after me, yeah, I would freakin bolt.lol The one thing I would have changed is the mask coming out so early.I kinda wished he would have stolen the mask like he did in the original.Little mikey looked kind of stupid in it.lol don't get me wrong ,I loved all the halloweens with the exception of 3,H2O, and ressurection, but I do love zombies vion. I just hope the new Jason has that same level of brutality, and realism. No water fountain blood spewing.lol
