Be An Extra In The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D!

Interested in appearing in John Luessenhop's forthcoming, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D? Well, now is your chance at being involved in a small part of horror history.

The brass behind the upcoming film are holding an open casting call, seeking extras for a pool party scene scheduled to shoot on Monday, August 1. (What Leatherface is doing at a pool party baffles me, but hey, this is a great opportunity!)

The details are mple: if you live in the Shreveport, LA area, fall into the 18-29 age range, and are willing to work in your bathing suit during evening hours, then you qualify for this casting call.

Though the details may be minimal, the opportunity is priceless.

Lionsgate and the filmmakers of THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D, the next installment in the long-standing franchise, are pleased to announce the cast of the film, which picks up the story where the original 1974 film left off and will deliver a new chapter in the Leatherface saga with the goal of making it as horrifying as the original -- in 3D.

The cast includes an all new actor in the iconic villain role of Leatherface, an exciting cast of principal actors, and featured cameos by several cast members of the original 1974 film, famously directed by Tobe Hooper.

Why are they filming in California? It's TEXAS Chainsaw Massacre... I would have loved to go to the casting call, but I'm too young and live in Massachusetts...

Well, I am a Texan, and if this film was being shot in Austin like it should in my view, I'd love to be apart of it. Aw well. I've been an extra before. It's a lot of fun, especially if it's in a film you dream about being in, which was the case with me when I was an extra in "Rocky Balboa". I hope those lucky enough to be an extra in the new TCM have fun!
