UPDATE: New International Poster For 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' & BTS Video

I am always on the fence about posting these different variations of posters. I mean, do we as the public really care? But for some reason I feel like its my duty as a Bidite to let you guys in on every little bit of information that comes in whether it seems trivial or not. I suppose there is always the chance that some of you will see it and think "hey, that is wicked bat shit cool, I have to see the film now!" Does that ever happen? Likely no, but here is your chance.

New international film poster for 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes. The film stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, and Brian Cox.

"Rise of the Apes" is an origin story in the truest sense of the term. Set in present day San Francisco, the film is a reality-based cautionary tale, a science fiction/science fact blend, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

Check out the poster below and let us know what you think. The new 'Planet of the Apes' movie hits theaters this Friday, August 5, 2011.

I confess, I am not so eager to see this.

The trailer starts off nice and intelligent, but turns into Bay Apes everywhere.

I always end up watch the original or Beneath when they are on televion, and hello, they are still damn good.

Were the lessons not learned with the goofy Burton attempt?
