No Ash Set For Evil Dead Remake!

Through his twitter account, Bruce Campbell himself gave us some answer about the upcoming Evil Dead remake. People have been wondering if and who would be portraying the clasc character Ash,made famous by Campbell himself. He stated :

"No Ash character currently," followed by the statement " Last statement: ED remake is a re-telling. All bets are off & all involved love the new approach.".

So I guess as far as the horror world knows there isn't going to be an Ash in the new Evil Dead. Fede Alvarez is currently set to direct from his own script while original director Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are set to produce.

This could be a good thing. I mean, do we really want a new Ash?

I definitely don't want a new Ash but I do want the original Ash. It could be good though.

No new Ash is def. a good thing....should be interesting to see where they take it....I wonder if they'll try and make it all dark and serious like the NOES remake... that'd be prtty ck imo

That's great news. If they weren't going to use Bruce as Ash then it's best to leave Ash out of it all together. Really looking forward to seeing this film.
