Michael Myers vs. Michael Myers - Nick Castle vs. Dick Warlock

After catching the clascs, HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN 2, last night the wheels started to spin about who played the best Michael Myers. The infamous role is as legendary as the films themselves. Many love Nick Castle's (the original H1 Michael Myers) clasc stalking while other feel Dick Warlock (HALLOWEEN 2) portrayal of the Shape is the best we will ever see.

It's time for the showdown. Castle vs. Warlock, Myers vs. Myers, Icon vs. Icon. If you're reading this then there is a good chance you have seen the clascs HALLOWEEN and HALLOWEEN 2 more than a few times. With that being the case many of you have strong opinions on this matter. We're not talking about Oscar winning performances here, after all your bacally asked to walk when your called to play Michael Myers but we all know that if done wrong it can throw the whole movie off.

Nick Castle was the original and by not acting (in his own words) just walking he created the famous slow stalking walk that Mike became known for. Dick Warlock was a stunt man when he got the part to play the Shape in part 2. Warlock had a slightly bulkier look and did a great job following in Castle's footsteps. It's a close call and want the Bidite nation to decide! Who wins in your book?

I wanna say tie as well.

But I will say that I prefer Castle's portrayal more because his walking style seemed less rigid than Warlock's. It's as if Warlock was a bit nervous and knew the ze of the shoes he was going to fill were pretty big. One aspect that I will argue for Warlock is that he made Michael Myers seem even more dead to the world. He made him seem almost like a robot, which is effective enough for that film. If I remember correctly we don't see Michael walking as much in the first Halloween so its a bit difficult to gauge. To me, what made the chase scene with Michael and Laurie in the first one so effective was editing. You anticipate him coming up and grabbing Laurie after each cut back to Michael and it is so creepy. Damn, editing or not I'm going to have to chose Nick Castle.

I have to cast my vote for Nick Castle, his body language was much creepier and more organic, wheras Dick Walock's movements were very exaggerated verons of castle's. He was too slow and too choppy in his movements. I also couldn't stand some of the scenes in h2 due to their corniness, EX: when michael kills the girl on the phone and he bounces up like a spring, accompanied by a sudden almost cartoonish mucal accent. It reminded me of something out of killer klowns from Outerspace.

To be honest, how can we posbly have anyone better Nick Castle? He IS Michael Myers! He was the original and created exactly what us Halloween fans compare all the others to.

NICK CASTLE all the way!

Nick castle for sure.

Dick is second in the franchise, but Nick is OG.
